usb_modeswitch on SpinBase

Hi,

Just wondering why sabyon doesn't have usb_modeswitch not available in SpinBase. I went through hard time connecting to internet after installing SpinBase. I don't have wired ADSL or WIFI, I only have EVDO usb device to connect with internet.

I solved by manually downloading .tbz2 file from packages.sabayon.org and install it through 'equo'. This one requires 'tcl', so I had downloaded that one also, manually, from this place.

So, It will be helpful If sabayon have usb_modeswitch as one of its basic package.

You could request that the package be included. The method for highlighting it to the developers is explained in the post Requesting Packages for Entropy - New Policy.

putting usb_modeswitch adds more value to SpinBase, people(like me) who want to customize their system from a minimal installation may benifit.

Yeah modeswitch is pretty nice, i always use that for my fliflop usb modem.
But been a while since surfing with it, dont know size and dependencies, maybe its possible to grab th spinbase and add the modeswitch then make an own "spin/remaster" ?
