I dont really know about limbo, I asked same and have been reply "use at your own risk".
I would say if you dont matter to crash out your system from time to time it is ok.
BTW there's a small pb on todays update.
After update I got this message using equo :
sabayon ~ # equo query installed glibc
invalid filesystem encoding ANSI_X3.4-1968, must be UTF-8.
Make sure to set LC_ALL, LANG, LANGUAGE to valid UTF-8 values.

You can fix with sorting out local and reinstall glibc (or maybe run locale-gen) see this thread
