Updates on sabayon weekly

Hi, first i want to say thanks to the people involved on sabayon. I have been using for a long time and now i am using sabayon only (before was win 7 and sabayon).

I have a question, on the past weeks there have not been any updates using equo (or entrophy) on my system. I want to know if the problem is my PC or there were not any updates.

One last question:
The limbo branch is to unestable for the day to day use?

I dont really know about limbo, I asked same and have been reply "use at your own risk".
I would say if you dont matter to crash out your system from time to time it is ok.
BTW there's a small pb on todays update.
After update I got this message using equo :

sabayon ~ # equo query installed glibc
invalid filesystem encoding ANSI_X3.4-1968, must be UTF-8.
Make sure to set LC_ALL, LANG, LANGUAGE to valid UTF-8 values.
...

You can fix with sorting out local and reinstall glibc (or maybe run locale-gen) see this thread http://forum.sabayon.org/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=22105

Basically you can have trouble with regular updates (never seen very bad ones since 2 years of sabayon) but maybe with limno you increase frequency and severity of those !
I am using sabayon as desktop so it could be ok for me (I have other distros installed in case )

Do you use RSS reader?

you can follow updates easily with RSS reader

for example on the weekly amd64
http://pkg.sabayon.org/standard/sabayon ... pdates.rss

weekly x86
http://pkg.sabayon.org/standard/sabayon ... pdates.rss

You can do same with each repo, that way you can see when and what has been done. I have been running limbo for years and find it very stable.

just since we are on the topic of updates and i am new to sabayon do the weekly updates come out on pretty much the same day every week?

We moved the updates over to weekly early this week.

More than 100 updates now .

One question, on this update, i am getting instaled man-pages on a lot of languages (japanese, russian... before i never got asked this). Is this intentional?
