The internet is running slow on my HP DV7-2180US. I have updated the drivers and disabled IPv6. What else can I do?

I noticed that lately I have high values for "Invalid misc" in the iwconfig output for my Intel 3945ABG. Seems to be related to the kernel or the wifi card driver.
Is your issue same as mine?

Hi there,

If it is the one with broadcom wireless on board try to use the sta driver.

And concerning the wicd, it doesn't matter any more, both kde and gnome nm are top working, I for myself used wicd long time ago, when the nm was not as good as it is now, since two years I never ever had any problems with nm.

Connect, watch a few sites or whatever you want for a few minutes and then in a console as root: iwconfig
This is the output I got:

See that "Invalid misc" ? Usually is 0.
