removing networkmanager remove kde

hello all

I am a newbie at sabayon but few years on gentoo

I just installed sabayon but need to remove networkmanager in order to have wicd working

unfortunately, I end up with the following :

removing networkmanager would remove some kde package that seems important like krunner kdeplasma-addons kdebase-startkde

Hi

I suggest you to remove NetworkManager service only
Code: Select all
# rc-update del NetworkManager default



NetworkManager is a deep dep,

or you can remove with --nodeps option
Code: Select all
# equo remove net-misc/networkmanager --nodeps


In the future may be installed if it is request by other application/s
