[[[[ First Full Equo Update Completed -- Upon reboot mirror.internode.on.net/pub/sabayonlinux/entropy is now showing as the download server; I'd still prefer to be using IINET's distfiles, but I'm a bit confused as to how the IINET store correlates to Sabayon, it doesn't have an entropy directory ]]]]
I've been using Gentoo since 2002.
I'm checking out Sabayon. (amd64 kde 6)
I'm located in Australia.
My nearest Sabayon pkg server is http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/sabayonlinux/entropy -- fast
No matter how I set the repository configuration, entropy always operates from pkg.sabayon.org -- REALLY SLOW
Also, my provider has a Sabayon distfiles mirror: http://ftp.iinet.net.au/linux/sabayon/distfiles/ -- REALLY REALLY FAST
I cannot find anywhere to configure Sabayon / Entropy to fetch from this server, I could be updating this whole system in an hour at 1.8 MB/s, but it's gonna take a whole day at .15 MiB/s.
I tried setting http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/sabayonlinux/entropy as the final entry in the repositories.conf in etc and it still appears to sync with pkg.sabayon.org AND SLOWLY.
Help please, all I need to know is where to edit the configurations and examples of configurations with specified hierarchy.
Thank you, I'm really impressed with the speed of installation and functionality so far.
Cheers,
Kirk
