Need help with installing package for VMWare app

Hi, so I downloaded an app for Linux for VMware Workstation. The instructions given to install the app were this:



However, when I do these commands, I get the following errors:



Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Within the package file downloaded, the files appears under properties as an "application-x file" if that info is needed. Thanks.

is the VMWare bundle file, the application, saved in the same directory in wich you carried the chmod and othere commands?

In my case was VMWare Player, which I could not make run due to their incompatibility with my kernel (3.0-r10).
I did not need to make it executable.
I just changed the directory where the bundle was, and, as su, I have issued:

Code: Select all

sh VMware-Player-3.1.4-385536.x86_64.bundle

I did not sudo, as I was su.
