Se non ci sono problemi nel login testuale, non dovrebbero esserci problemi con le credenziali.

come risultato ho una serie di scritte del seguente tenore: 64 bytes from fx-in-f103 ecc. ecc. : icmp-req ecc. ttl= ecc. time= ecc. ed alla fine 83 packets transmitted, 83 received, 0% packet loss, time ecc. ecc.

Ottimo, vuol dire che hai una connessione, quindi puoi usare equo per installare pacchetti

Prova ad eseguire, dopo aver eseguito un login testuale come root:

per fare un controllo sulle dipendenze.
Inoltre, controlla quale login manager hai installato:

Uno dei due comandi dovrebbe darti come risultato un pacchetto installato nel tuo sistema.
Sospetto che sia un problema di polkit.

Prova ad eseguire, dopo aver eseguito un login testuale come root:equo deptest
equo libtest

il primo fornisce: Esecuzione test dipendenze ... (986/986) Controllo dev-python/pygobject-2.28.6
Il secondo è più complicato, estraggo questo: Permissione denied:/bin/su ... Original exception was : ecc., ecc.

Inoltre, controlla quale login manager hai installato:equo query installed lxdm
equo query installed gdm

Il primo fornisce: lxde-base/lxdm-0.3.0-r4
Il secondo invece: 0 voci

Ad ogni modo, controlla di avere installato lxpolkit:

utilizza --pretend o --ask per controlalre cosa viene installato

Oltre a quello che dice sabayonino, dopo che installi i pacchetti in questione, disabilita il repository di sabayonlinux.org, con:
(come root)

Tenere sia il repository weekly che quello ufficiale attivi non è molto saggio.
