openconnect (networkmanager)

Postby vanschonen » Fri Aug 19, 2011 22:21

Hi,
first off ....I'd like to say - Sabayon, I like a lot! thanks guys (all of you). but sadly I have had to revert back to Debian

as a new Sabayon user I'd like to get some ideas about openconnect (gui). how to get it working in Sabayon?
I have found no posts about this here on the forum, so far, i.e the search does not find any.

its the "networkmanager-openconnect" (gentoo - overlay) that's failing (error - libnm-*, that I remember).
openconnect (gentoo - overlay), seems to install just fine, but I never tested that (command-line).
(since found another gentoo overlay for both, but not tested)

really, is there no one else that need this, i.e vpn that uses certificates for "Cisco vpn"... not handled by vpnc and openvpn and so on.... as far as I know..... (its a builtin in Gnome almost... it just works in Debian)

at the moment this is the only thing standing between me and Sabayon. and would like to be able to get rid of this Debian installation asap (not that there is anything wrong with Debian, but I like Sabayon more).

and then source .... still no luck. always some dependencies that make it fail.
openconnect site http://www.infradead.org/openconnect/
networkmanager-openconnect site http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/NetworkManager-openconnect/

am I missing something about the equo/emerge symbiosis.....to fix dependencies ?

any help/ideas, much appreciated :D
(sorry, can't give any logs from Sabayon since I'm running Debian again)
