I am trying to create an ad-hoc network so I can share my internet connection via Wi-fi. The system is connected to the internet via a 3G modem. I can create the network, but NetworkManager displays multiple entries.
Also, NetworkManager is either stuck on connecting to it, or shows very low signal, even if it's creating the connection. Also, other devices cannot see the network. Can anyone help?

Have you tried disabling networkmanager and just use the ifup ?
