Gnome 2 Fork in Process

There is a guy named Perberos who is working on a fork of Gnome2 and has uploaded to the AUR at ArchLinux. Looks like he might get enough volunteer support to make a real go of this but for now he's doing everything by himself. For those not relishing the move to Gnome 3 this might be an alternative to keeping your Gnome2 desktop, if it proves stable in the future and is compatible with Sabayon. His website is http://matsusoft.com.ar/redmine/projects/mate and he has his own repository http://matsusoft.com.ar/redmine/projects/mate/repository. He's looking for Gentoo people to help as well. Fabio or Joost would know best whether this is viable for Sabayon or maybe more of a pain than Gnome3
