Minor issue

Postby BlueJayofEvil » Thu May 12, 2011 20:38

I just tested out the daily amd64_K image (dated May 11th, 2011). Installation went well, but when I logged in to my desktop for the first time, the first-run script tried to open the Sabayon homepage with Firefox. Chromium comes installed now instead of Firefox. I just got a small error pop-up window saying 'firefox' is an unknown command. I guess the first-run startup script needs to be changed to invoke Chromium instead of Firefox?

I have to ask....are you sure firefox is installed??
Sounds silly but I heard that the package might have been skipped on the recent daily.
su to root and
equo install -a firefox
This will tell the story, remember that as the dailys are great, they are not fully tested.

I checked and Firefox was not installed in the default installation. It wasn't on the live image, either. I figured this may have been intentional since Chromium was included?
