then open a terminal and switch to root:
su
enter command:
nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf
you can check some of the settings Fitzcarraldo posted. i would also copy everything in this file and print it out or save it somewhere.
to exit the file press:
Ctrl x
and then press:
y
and then press:
enter
now if you still dont have a positive result, i would consider installing fedora 14 again, and make your compiz work. then check all the settings, opengl driver version, and the xorg file and compare it to all your sabayon notes. when you find the difference try to apply it to the sabayon install.
hopefully you have enough disk space and a free partition to run the fedora install, if not you should be a pro at installing both systems by now
