I think you know about this.
The text installer from Sabayon 5.5 KDE .iso is broken. I think it's global anaconda problem.
1. Sometimes, you have problem with python, when you are creating new user account.
2. Installer don't have option to manually set partitions, you can only set all disk, existing linux partitions or empty space.

You take new text installer without manual partitioning. Ok, but why?!
If you want give up completely text installer, that's ok. Leave some not working to good installer is no good idea.
So if you could explain me why...
I'm not interest completely on text installer, I only check him, because the some guys form polish sabayon forum have problem with installing in graphical mode (blank screen, report errors about libx, dont recognize some graphical cards like Radeon 2300, etc.) I have hope, that text installer help them install Sabayon, but it's impossible to them without manual partitioning.

The text-installer usability issue has been fixed a few days ago, after 5.5 release.
On the other hand, it's better to use the graphical installer for non Core releases of Sabayon. For this reason, you can boot the system using the vesa driver, if autodetection fails, just adding xdriver=vesa to the boot parameters, as explained in our wiki, or by simply selecting the "Safe mode" boot option.
