sabayon 5.4 natsemi problem

Hello,

During installation and/or running the live dvd Sabayon 5.4 all works fine except for my internet connection. When I start the installation or the live dvd I see that my build in national semiconductor is being disabled (the light on the networkcard and switch turn of) at the exact momnt that the kernel is being initialized.
Afterwards I can see with lspci that it sees the card and with ifconfig I see no dhcp address (expected with a non working card).

Browsing through the forum I found similar problems but only with the older 3.5 sabayon. For these cases I could not find a solution, is there any hope I can get it to activate?

What does lspci show the card as? We need the chipset of the card, not the brand name.
Then check, dmesg will be in /var/log/dmesg or, as root.
" cat /var/log/dmesg "
sounds like a firmware issue, look for any thing related to network or firmware

Included the output from lspci and dmesg (compressed, attachement). This is all done on the live dvd because I have installed another Linux distro. Hope this helps, thank you for your time!
