Wireless card not working

Hello,
I have just tried Sabayon Gnome from a live cd and fell in love with it....except for my wireless card not being detected. It doesn't recognize any networks or anything. I am not anything of a linux noob, but I AM a drivers noob. Can I have any assistance in getting it to work?

Note: The same card works in Ubuntu 10.04 and Mint 9, but I haven't been able to find any non-ubuntu based systems that support it

Could you provide some more information? Wireless card manufacturer and type, output of

or similar?
