Confirm that:

Code: Select all
$ VirtualBox

return these:

Code: Select all
/op/bin/VirtualBox: Permission denied

Don't know why, but I've had the same problem in a fresh kde install. You need to add your user to the vboxusers group and then reboot (don't know if restart session works the same :))

After that all the icons are there and you can use Vbox ;)

VBox should add a launcher in Applications -> Systemtools -> Oracle xVM VirtualBox

Only after you add your user to the vboxusers group and restart the current session :)

followed the wiki, I am in the group. Reboot and all. May it have something to do with the Vbox version?

@vospy:

Try launching VirtualBox in the terminal:

Code: Select all
$ VirtualBox

(case sensitive).

And if it doesn't work, post the log of the command in here, to see what's happening.
