Not having issues installing VMware; the bundle works perfectly. Had some trouble with the VMware modules, mostly because I couldn't find the correct kernel sources at first. Found out later that there's actually a package for them, so huge thumbs-up for the dev-guys!
There is one problem however: the vmware service that is required to be running does not show in `eselect rc list`, even though it is present in the init.d folder. I'm currently using a work-around by having the startup script added to the /etc/conf.d/local that works, but that requires special attention when performing updates that like to replace the 'local' file.
What's with that anyway? Each time updates want to set my hardware clock from UTC to Local. Want to delete my local LAN timeservers in favor of off-site timeservers. I know I have to be careful with etc-update, but some of them are really annoying me.
