I'm trying to install Sabayon 5.3 GNOME on my netbook. This is my first
Linux installation of any kind.
I downloaded Sabayon_Linux_5.3_amd64_G.iso from this mirror: http://mirror.umoss.org/sabayonlinux/iso/
and used a universal USB installer to write it to a USB stick. I booted my netbook from it, and I get this message:
"This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU."
I don't get it, isn't this the one I'm supposed to use?
If it makes any difference, the specs of my netbook are:
Intel ATOM CPU N270. 1.6Ghz, 1GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive.
Please help me, I spent 7+ hours downloading and writing it to my USB drive.
