"video mode not supported" is what I get when I attempt the installation.
Video seems to be working fine if I can see the fading blue background.
Installation disc is 5.2. Video card is onboard SiS (650, I think).

Maybe you can try some boot parameters (for example "xdriver=[option]"), see here.
