Until now, Linux users have avoided buying Lexmark printers as these printers are known as "paperweights" for Linux. However, with a new printer model it looks like Lexmark has at last decided to support Linux. I've just seen the following review of the Lexmark Pro905 Platinum multi-function printer on the Phoronix Web site:
Lexmark's Linux Secret. Lexmark has even put the Tux logo on the printer. Let's hope the company carries on in this vein and widens its support for Linux to all new printer models. If the company puts Tux badges on its printers then I may consider buying one when I have to replace my aging Epson printer.
