I hope there isn't any.........lol......Linux is not Windows and does not want to be.

Years ago there used to be "Lindows" and then had to change the name to "Linspire" but it has been desolved.
It used to sit on the shelves at Best Buy right next to Win98.

Most users who come over from that other OS seem to go for KDE the biggest problem is getting use to the names of the programs and the need to learn the command line for when something goes wrong

Best advise is to download all the different live Linux distros you can find and try them to see which one want and install it on to your hard drive

Once you find the one you want then you can install one or all of the many packages available for your audio and video

I prefer Sabayon because it works out of the box for most of the hardware that is out there and I don't mind reading the forum, wiki, man pages, help files, how to files and doing the many tutorials that is available for Linux
Desktop ASUS M2N-MX SE Plus, AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 5200, 4 Gb RAM, GeForce 9500 1GB
Notebook HP CQ61-311AX, AMD CPU M320, 4 Gb RAM, Radeon HD 4300 512 MB
Wireless AR9285, Audio ATI SBx00 (IDT 92hd75B2x5)
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once!

Moving this thread to the Off Topic shed: it has nothing to do with Sabayon Linux.

Trust me. You don't want a linux distro that works and acts like windoze. Thats asking for viruses, rootkits, spyware, crashing, stolen files, constant bloatware and patching that doesn't work, etc.

Linux is Linux is like BSD, is similar to MAC, but is not and will never be like windows. Its best to learn basic linux, its not hard, its actually fairly easy. Then learn how to use the package manager and never had to pay for another program again

Trust me, as long as you don't start out with Slackware, and use Sabayon or (hate to suggest it) ubuntu you will be GREAT!

Every linux is a good aleternative to windows =P
you just have to learn some new programm names. for a "normal user" (if there is really something like one...) things don't really change. surfing the web, reading emails, wirting docs work almost the same way as in windows. (and thats what most "normal users" do on their pcs i think...)

if you need some specials things or you like to play around on your pc you may also learn some commands and get familiar with the OS.
