Yes, I've never checked out the recipe before I searched for a picture of it, but it sounds like a really nice dessert, I got water in my mouth when I read them. I do understand why they chose that name for this distro, they're both very delicious...

Slowly in process of redesigning my website and taken this idea from it.
Hope you like it (I can take it if you don't!)
'Sabayon' is made up of 'Asenine Wide' Font - the penguins and circle were from a clipart collection that came with my web package. I changed the yellow graded sunset sky for a complete disk of red/orange/yellow using a 'conical' filter. ME is made up of 'The Prisoner' Font.

Today I've been visiting this forum after a long long time without doing it.
I've seen that you are looking for a new logo, and some users talked about my old designs of new logos for Sabayon.
I've found the old inkscape files, so I've made an update to match the new colours (black, white and cyan, I think).
As I said 3 years ago, it's just an idea for a new logo

I find the current logo to be good, much better than any proposed alternative, and clearly better than the logo of nearly any other Linux/BSD distro. I would put it above the rest on par with Debian's logo.

Its theme (hen's foot) is perhaps surprising but the way the logo is drawn is tasteful, classy, professional. I do not find anything childish about it.

If anything, I am a little disturbed by the distro's name: `Sabayon' -- seems to me like some kind of (poor) joke.
