Isn't k3b installed by default? It was with my 4.0-r1 (KDE3.5), it's not "part of" KDE4 anymore or what?

i went into sulfer and installed it...at the end of the install it tells me the following:We don't install k3bsetup anymore because Gentoo doesn't need it.
* If you get warnings on start-up, uncheck the "Check system
* configuration" option in the "Misc" settings window.

i cannot find it after install..i feel like an idiot..

My guess is that it is not included in 4.1 and 4.2 KDE as the KDE4 port of K3B is still in alpha.
I'm pretty sure there is still some functionality that won't work correctly...

I only used it to burn an iso, which worked correctly. Using a Video DVD project with VIDEO_TS folder failed for me. So for the moment I create an iso first and then I burn it.

Anyone else using the KDE4 version of K3B? What is your experience?

I've used the Slot 2 (KDE 4) alpha version to burn an ISO and to burn a few data disks. Worked fine for the ISO burn. The first data disk burn failed but it might just have been due to duff media. The other data disk burns worked fine.

Feels more like KDE4 is still in alpha
I still can't believe that was ever dumped onto the general public
