VMWare Workstation on Sabayon x64

Postby peixoto » Tue Jul 21, 2009 14:25

Hi.

Can someone please help me with this problem?

I just installed Sabayon Linux 4.2 KDE x64 and Im confused about installing VMware Workstation.
I downloaded vmware .bundle and .rpm I tried to install using "sh VMwarexxxxx.bundle", everything seems ok but when I try to run it says that several modules need to be compiled and loaded into kernel. I click install and says its unable to stop services.

Im sorry if my problem isnt detailed enough but as you can see Im a complete newbie.

Im determined to get rid of XP and Vista once and for all.

Thanks in advance.

Sabayon inlcudes the excellent virtualbox application by default, its a very good program and ahead of vmware in many areas plus its open source.

You can find it in your menus.
