there are no packages in spritz how to load them

If you are new to Linux or new to Sabayon Linux and just not sure where to post, here ya go. Post without fear of being told to RTFM :-)

there are no packages in spritz how to load them

Hello:
I am new to sabayon I have used mint, ubuntu, and mandriva I installed it last night and cannot find any packages in the package manager (spritz) I know I am over looking something please help

You need to download the repository info first.

From a root shell : equo update

"From a root shell : equo update" Equo update should inform you that there is a newer version of equo-entropy-(spritz) is now sulfur. you should install the new version. :)

I would recommend you also read the wiki, here is a link to a useful page called what to do after a fresh install.
If you follow it, will fix your issue.

And of course, lots of good folk's right here to help solve issues.You will get more help, if you try to find the answer yourself.
Sabayon is an awesome operating system, If you are new to linux, or coming from another distro.... will be a small learning curve and worth doing some reading.
