Sound Card Reconfiguration

Heya all. My First of unluckyly many posts with which ill spamm your Forums till forever I am about to ask how to get my Soundcard working.

the problem: whenever i plug in earphones the built in boxes wont shut up.
on this side it is shown realy good how to solve this issue...in Debian environment. http://members.aon.at/wickey/ASUS_X55SV_Debian.html

now i have seen Sabayon does not contain modprobe so it does not work...

Questions:
1. Does this function if i install modprobe?
1.2. How do I install modprobe?
2. Is there another way to fix this issue?

You need to become root to be able to use modprobe.

type in terminal: su
then give root password --> now you are root.

Oh... but why does it say "command not found" if i try using it in normal mode? wouldnt it be better to say something like "you have to be superuser to use this tool"? Would maybe help someone who does not know this tool so good (like me).
