xfce4: notevolissimo ritardo apertura desktop [Risolto]

da qualche settimana ho questo problema: avvio la sessione xfce e mi si aprono i pannelli, posso aprire file e cartelle ma lo schermo rimane nero e non posso aprire il menu "Impostazioni della scrivania" che dovrebbe aprirsi con il tasto dx del mouse. Tuto ciò si sistema da solo dopo tantissimo tempo, anche 4-5 minuti. Ho provato diptest e libtest ma mi si dice che il sistema è sano. Non riesco a collegare questa storia a nessun aggiornamento in particolare perchè il problema si è presentato progressivamente, all'inizio pochi secondi di ritardo, in questi giorni sta diventando irritante. Ho dato un'occhio alle applicazioni di avvio ma non ho cambiato niente, sono le solite: xfsetting, rete, power manager, pulse audio e poco più.

come posso vedere con il terminale dov'è il problema ?
qualche buon anima all'ascolto ?

niente, non dipende dalla cache nemmeno dall'utente, ho creato un altro utente e cancellato il mio, previo backup, ma il desktop si apre dopo 6 (sei !!!) minuti.

ho tralasciato un certo numero di righe perchè sono simili alle ultime due, ovvero si riferiscono al tema gtk.

come puoi vedere gli errori gtk me li mostra ugualmente ma non dovrebbero influire, mi preocupanoinvece i primissimi warning, parlano di errori di memoria, errori del pannello e errori di xfsettingsd: secondo me è quest'ultimo che rompe...

probabilmente è il tema, mi pare stranissimo, ma se attivo un certo tema mi da questi ritardi, se attivo gli altri il desktop si apre immediatamente. Ho provato solo 3-4 volte, potrebbe essere una coincidenza, per ora la dò per buona.
Problema 2: nessun audio. ho provato a variare i parametri con alsamixer sia con vlc che con audacious. il mio uname è questo:
