Thunar pic preview problem

Hi guys. my first post here, i have been using Sabayon for a month and i am very happy with it.
since few days ago thunar stopped showing picture preview, i swear i didn't touch anything maybe after lastest update it happend.
same problem with ristretto, there is no preview in preview bar but it can show the picture.
its not a big problem, i just wanna know how i can fix this
now thunar's just showing a JPG icon instead of picture preview.

Experience the same issue.
You need xfce-extra/tumbler and media-video/ffmpegthumbnailer to show the thumbnails.

In an Arch Linux bug report they suggest to install media-plugins/gst-plugins-ffmpeg and media-libs/gst-plugins-good too. Further they suggest:

rm -rf ~/.config/Thunar ~/.cache/Thunar ~/.thumbnails
pkill thunar
pkill tumbler

But unfortunately it doesn't work for me.

When started from terminal, ristretto complains about a failed dbus-call:

** (ristretto:8535): WARNING **: DBUS-call failed:Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)

Maybe someone has an idea, what could be wrong.

I reinstalled both tumbler and ffmpegthumbnailer.
I also deleted thunar config and cache and thumbnails. didn't work!

I mainly use pcmanfm and by using that, thunar will show previews as long as pcmanfm visited the directory. I didn't notice it, but it was brought up with sabayon 11 being released.

We discussed this problem a few days ago on IRC. It may be a Gentoo bug, but that's just a shot in the dark.

I think it was with the last thunar update which was a few weeks ago. I hardly ever use it but checked it after the update and noticed just names of files and folders.
