VMWare tools installtion issue - Missing headers

Postby pyrovinay » Sun Dec 23, 2012 19:49

Hi all,

I have recently managed to install Sabayon as a VM. All went quite well.

But now I am not able to install vmware-tools. I managed to solve the rc.0..9 error by creating the empty directories to fool the installation. But when progressing, i get the following:
Code: Select all
Searching for a valid kernel header path...
The path "" is not a valid path to the 3.5.0-sabayon kernel headers.
Would you like to change it? [yes]
Enter the path to the kernel header files for the 3.5.0-sabayon kernel?

The path "" is not a valid path to the 3.5.0-sabayon kernel headers.
Would you like to change it? [yes]

I dont know the path and when checked, i think the source is not available. Any ideas how to solve this and move on with the installation?

Thanks in advance ..
