Konquorer endless loop/recursion

I've wanted to look at the Sabayon file system on my computer, and when I tried to do so using the drop down menu from "Places," I get instead an infinite series of Konquorer loading as fast (Sabayon fast, if you will) as the system can load new icons to the package tray. No way to stop but by doing a hard shut down.

You're using GNOME? If you are, uninstall Konqueror. If you're using KDE, click on Kickoff > System Settings > Default Applications and change the File Manager from Konqueror to Dolphin.
