Home Folder Empty?

Sabayon 10 - 32-bit, MATE:

I just installed and updated. I now have a Home folder with just the desktop icon. No pictures, documents, videos, etc.

Well, i have KDE, and also only a Desktop icon.
When looking at /etc/skel it looks perfectly normal, though.

As long as Mate works, you'll be fine.
You can create your own folders, or even some browser-addons can automatically create them.
