Problem installing Sabayon

Postby greattu » Fri Oct 19, 2012 21:40

I tried to install Sabayon 10 _86 MATE on AMD AthlonXP 2200+ with 1.5 GB RAM and nVidia GeForce 5600 GPU but after choosing graphic installation I got this on my screen:

!! No bootable medium found
>>Looking for the cdrom
>>Attempting to mount media : /dev/sr0
>>Att............................................/sr1
....................................................../sr2 etc....
!!Media not found
!!Could not find CD to boot, something else needed
>>Determing root device...
!!Could not find the root block device in
Please specify another value
root block device () ::

There is nothing wrong with my CDROM coz I just writing this using Mint LiveCD and nothing wrong with Sabayon DVD coz I installed on other computer w/out problems. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this ?
Thank You.

Try creating a LivePenDrive instead (use UNetbootin or LinuxLive USB Creator), configure your machine's BIOS to boot from USB pen drives, boot that, and then try to install from that.
