Boot drive not selectable [Solved]

Hi

I have a system that is currently dual booting, using grub 2, ubuntu and windows 7. I want to install sabayon over the window partition. When I go to install I choose custom, then select my drive but I am unable to mark that drive as bootable. Which is weird because that is my drive that boots. Any ideas on this ? Do I need to format that partition first ? (I tried a search but the terms were to common)

yes, but if you used wubi to get the dual boot setup i think there's problems you can run into.

also you cannot format a partition like that, i think you have to boot into a livecd enviroment in order to format/resize the partition with windows on it.

imo it's alot easier to just format the whole hd, set up the partition table your self and go from there.

My solution wasnt much of one, unplug all other drives and install. Then grub installs properly.
