how to install sendmail on SL9?

Hi,

I removed postfix using equo remove postfix and did equo install sendmail.
sendmail is unable to start.

# /etc/init.d/sendmail start
* Starting sendmail ... [ !! ]
* ERROR: sendmail failed to start


I checked /var/log/messages but no trace there about what is going on. Please help

I think it is related to ssl libraries?

# sendmail -v
sendmail: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
