Fresh install of sabayon 9 ( media center) amd 64
normal boot hangs with the message "set keymap to US " displayed on the splash screen .
if I try booting to recovery mode it stops at "waiting for uevents to be processed "
reformatted the partition and reinstalled , plain KDE this time , same result .
when it hangs the only thing I can do is a hard reset no response from keyboard , can't get to a terminal to try anything .
I have other installs on the same box so I can access the drive and do any edits suggested .
any ideas welcome .
I found this post http://forum.sabayon.org/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=22857 and added the nodeadkeys and terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp options and that let it boot to desktop . note my kbd is US so I didn't edit that part .
mods please mark this solved I couldn't find how .
