make link to second hard drive on desktop

If you are new to Linux or new to Sabayon Linux and just not sure where to post, here ya go. Post without fear of being told to RTFM :-)

make link to second hard drive on desktop

i just edited my fstab to automount my second internal hard drive, but i want a link to it on my desktop. when i go into computer and right click the icon for it, the make link option is grayed out.

any help?

which desktop environment are you using?

right now i'm on gnome, but i might switch to fluxbox once i get the hang of using a gentoo based distro

lets try this

right click on desktop
click create launcher and a box opens up

Type: with top drop down box, select Location
Name: give the drive a name
Location: path of drive like for me it would be file:///media/WINXP
Comment: can be left blank

you can also click on the icon and change the icon
