I'm currently trying to install sabayon 4.2 on my desktop using the amd.64 disk, and during the graphical install, text install, or running any of the other images, when I enter the informational booting screen after it loads the kernel I receive an error.

I've tried entering the shell and doing:
cat /proc/partitions
and it comes up with:
- Code: Select all
major minor #blocks name
8 0 195360984 sda
8 1 102400 sda1
8 2 37646336 sda2
8 3 157609984 sda3
however still none of these is the cdrom (or dvd to be more correct) so I'm still unable to get even the install working from the livecd?! any help that I cant find elseware?
