How to setup auto login

Open a terminal and type
kdesu systemsettings

But be warned that if you do it using System Settings it will delete all the comments from the kdmrc file.

No need to apologize, Joe. Your recommendation would indeed achieve the same result as editing the file directly, and losing the comments in the config file would not be the end of the world. Also it goes without saying that one can (and should) make a backup of a config file before editing it anyway, which would keep a backup of the comments:
