Sulfur not working on fresh install

Postby second_exodous » Fri Aug 07, 2009 22:37

I got my PC put together today and am trying Sabayon for the first time. Everything works, got everything installed, and then when I went to update with Sulfur it hit a snag at 50%, a loud whining came from my headset and everything froze. I tried to get into another console but it was completely locked down. I hit the reset switch and it booted fine, but couldn't get into sulfur again. I ran it though a terminal and this is what I got:

Code: Select all
user@sabayon ~ $ sulfur %U
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/entropy/sulfur/sulfur-client.py", line 30, in <module>
    from sulfur import SulfurApplication
  File "/usr/lib/entropy/sulfur/sulfur/__init__.py", line 45, in <module>
    from sulfur.packages import EntropyPackages, Queue
  File "/usr/lib/entropy/sulfur/sulfur/packages.py", line 27, in <module>
    from sulfur.package import EntropyPackage, DummyEntropyPackage
  File "/usr/lib/entropy/sulfur/sulfur/package.py", line 19, in <module>
    from sulfur.entropyapi import Equo
  File "/usr/lib/entropy/sulfur/sulfur/entropyapi.py", line 24, in <module>
    from sulfur.dialogs import LicenseDialog, okDialog, choiceDialog, inputDialog
  File "/usr/lib/entropy/sulfur/sulfur/dialogs.py", line 28, in <module>
    from sulfur.event import SulfurSignals
ImportError: cannot import name SulfurSignals

Anyway, I'm using the Gnome version, 4.2. Any ideas? I could just re-install but I'd like to fix it if I could and learn how to go about it if it breaks again.

Do you need any other info?

Thanx,
Stan
