As well as keeping your voice down ;)

You want help? Don't scream(!!) for it, just ask.

You maybe did not notice it! but I was answering to apiaio (Tue Aug 04, 2009 12:15) because no one else did!
I was not asking anything in this post! I tried to help! that's all!

.. and if you think emphasizing a sentence using three exclamation marks means screaming, that's your point of view (and a quite sensitive one)! not mine!
(count all the !!! that were writing before in this forum and you will be surprised ... and quite irritated!)
6 years I'am writing and answering posts in Gentoo, Ubuntu and Mandriva forums and I never saw this kind of debate before! (because I wrote three exclamation points!)
12 messages under this post and 8 were out of subject and were not answering apiaio question!
What a waste of time and energy!
End of this debate! ... I have more important things to do than arguing about three exclamation marks!

Indeed, all those exclamation points in your post made that kinda hard to filter out.
And that is exactly the point Wolfden, Stupot and I were trying to make.
Actually, his question was answered.

One sentence, ok. Every other sentence, not ok.
And it's not only my point of view, at least Wolfden and Stupot seem to share it and I'm quite sure a lot of other do too.
Furthermore, it's not about sensitivity (trust me, I've got an elephant skin), it's about readability.

frank784 wrote:(count all the !!! that were writing before in this forum and you will be surprised ... and quite irritated!)

I'd rather not. I won't be surprised at all, and yes I might get irritated.

And we thank you for this.

apiaio's question was already answered, if it wasn't answered sufficiently it's up to apiaio to say so.

As you just seem to refuse to see our point, you might be completely right about this one...

frank784 wrote:End of this debate! ... I have more important things to do than arguing about three exclamation marks!

We ALL have more important things to do.
And since it's obviously completely and solely up to you to end debates, I suggest you delete all posts regarding the exclamation points, and lock the topic.
Wait...what...you can't? You're not an admin? Well then I guess 'End of this debate' is not you call after all...
