newb questions

Hi there.
I have been Gentoo users for several years. I would like to install Sabayon, but I did not find something like Gentoo Handbook.
Does exist something similar for Sabayon? Thanks.

Hi! You will find some articles on the wiki, even if sometimes they are less precise than the Gentoo handbook.
The most useful are:
http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=En:Introduction
http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=Entropy
and
http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=FAQ

keep in mind that the Gentoo documentation is also Sabayon documentation, as they are
fully compatible.

But Sabayon has a graphical install, so is much more easy to install than Gentoo. in the Boot of Live DVD, click on Install to Disk.

Just to add that there are also some nice installation guides ('Visual Tours') with screen images in the SL Wiki, although installation is easy enough that, unless you're a total newcomer to Linux, you won't need them. Good that they're there, though (courtesy of wolfden).

OK. I have successfully installed from Core CD, Installed entropy, upgraded portage and synchronized portage tree
using layman. The first application installation using equo was OK as well. But I have another newb questions:
1. I see some differences in configuration files especialy in etc directory and fstab is absolutely different comparing with Gentoo. So I am not sure if I can use Gentoo's config files in Sabayon.
And make.conf ??? Should I Ieave it as is ?
2. I plan to install X-server and KDE-4.2. Can I follow Gentoo documentation and use equo instead of emerge?
3. Presently I have installed 2.6.27-gentoo-r10 kernel. Can I use /usr/src/linux.config from Gentoo's kernel for installation of new Sabayong kernel?
Thanks
