What does Sabayon count as? [Solved]

Postby godv2 » Thu Jul 16, 2009 22:25

Hey all. :)

I've come across lots of cross-OS programs (opera etc.) that work on many linux distros (ubuntu, mandriva etc), but sabayon is never listed.

what does sabayon count as? gentoo? or can you recommend an option to choose when faced with the choice?

Cheers,
TJ

Sabayon is a distro, just like Ubuntu. Sabayon is based off of Gentoo, just like Ubuntu is based off of Debian.

I'm not really sure how else to answer your questions.

It counts as gentoo, if you want particular packages then its best to put a request in on the bugzilla. Esp. If you are using entropy
