Vinagre seems a good one too.

Usually installed applications have an entry in the main menu, in the respective sections.
if you can't find it in the menu, it is enough to write its name on a console.
Like:

and so on.
However there are many softwares which can help you, google around and find them out.
I never used such applications.

vnc is different from remote desktop. In order to use vnc, you must have a vnc-server running on the box you wish to see. You can then connect to it from a vnc-client. If you wish to use vnc, I would personally recommend tightvnc.

You would also need to install tightvnc (or another vnc-server of your choosing) on the box you wish to connect to.

The app I recommended earlier connects to Windows using the remote desktop functionality already built into Windows (no need to run a server, just need to make sure the correct Windows services are started. If you can already remote desktop from a windows box, that app would be ready to go).

VNC isn't a windows specific app. The server can be on a windows box or a linux box and the client can come from either OS as well.

The package you would install via entropy would contain both a client and a server.

It says running with --pretend, meaning it told you what would happen if you installed it for real. Since you didn't use the --pretend flag, I'm going to guess that you didn't run the command as root user. The # denotes that the command should be run as root user.

I don't know what you are trying to do. Host a vncserver? Connect to a vncserver hosted elsewhere? Regardless, the information you seek isn't Sabayon specific. I'll be glad to help you out if you run into any issues, but you should be able to find some material to get yourself started/a better understand of what you're doing.
