Sulfur Problem

Postby mpeter » Tue Jun 23, 2009 18:55

When I run sulfur, it starts using huge amount of resources and stops responding.

Sulfur opens normally. Then when I try to go to 'All' or 'Installed' or search, it seems to freeze. If I wait long enough, more than 5 minutes, it will eventually change tabs. All the time it uses about 50% CPU.
If I 'force-quit', the window closes, but the processes continue to run until I end the processes.
The culprit seems to be sulfur-client.p, which is the process using all the CPU.

I am not sure when this issue arose. I usually use 'equo install' from the command line and the last time I ran sulfur, it worked fine.
I have not made any substantial changes to my system.

I have tried re-installing sulfur, but it did not resolve the issue.

Any help would be appreciated

Be sure you are fully updated (equo update && equo world) and then run sulfur from a console using the debug option: sulfur --debug
Maybe you'll find in which point is failing.

Thank you for your reply.

After updating [which installed the latest version of entropy/equo/sulfur], I ran sulfur --debug.

It opened OK. Then I clicked on 'All' and waited ... for it to open the 'All' tab. Then I closed sulfur.
The following is the output:
