Weird 'show desktop' issue

After last updates I can't uncheck 'show desktop' option in gconf-editor-->applications--->nautilus----->preferences. When I try to do it nautilus tries to launch itself continuosly and my bottom panel fills with increasing amount of 'launching file manager' bars. Any ideas? I run Sabayon 4.1/Gnome. TIA.
