enable to emerge vlc

All my videos are playing in black and white. Wanted to try vlc so I typed

Code: Select all

emerge vlc

Then it did some stuff and I got

can anyone help?

You will have less issues if you use the package manager or text package manager "spritz" or "equo" and a 1000times faster than emerge and it total process.

Usefull commands if using text equo.
equo update
equo install equo spritz entropy layman portage
layman -S
equo conf update

equo --help
equo install vlc

Weekly run to fix any problems that might be there :
equo libtest
equo deptest

In the entropy equo part of the forum there is a update guide if you want to get everything up to date about 192 packages on 4.1gnome in the beginning of may might be more now.
