This time it's audio. when booting up i get the error message ' X-Fi Extreme Audio [SBxxxx] (CA01060) doesn't work, falling back to C0106 (side speakers)'. I open up the sound config in the system settings and can get sound (test) with the X-Fi Extreme card, but no sound (test), with the side speakers
Also. I would like to use PulseAudio as with Opensuse and fedora, i could use 7:1 sound. Looking at the PulseAudio preferences, the tab for setting the amount of speakers to use is missing? I am pretty sure it's available in the other distro's PulseAudio preferences. I have set PulseAudio as my preferred output but as i said, there doesn't appear to be a way to enable multi-speakers so i'm sort of stuck with stereo output with PulseAudio or stereo with Alsa.
Oh one more thing
After the fresh install of Sabayon, i find i still have the grub entry for Opensuse which of course flags up an error saying there's no Opensuse installed if i select it. Sabayon did a complete format prior to installation, and i don't recall seeing an option to retain grub's original entries.
Thanks
