Running 4.1 live disk, unable to change themes

I'm trying sabayon for the first time and running the 4.1 live disk. I see quite a few themes in the Emerald Theme Manager that I'd like to try, but I can't seem to change anything there. I'm using all default settings --the window manager is set to Compiz, both Compiz options are unchecked, and the window decorator is set to Emerald.

Any help would be appreciated.
