Postby Butch Cassidy » Sun Dec 09, 2012 11:40

as default (in a VM, xfce)? editing /etc/default/grub doesn't seem to have any effect?

Thanks.

you have to run grub-mkconfig to use the changes in etc/default/grub
you can either edit /boot/grub/cgrub/cfg manually and remove splash stuff

edit /etc/default/sabayon-grub

and remove splash=silent, theme:sabayon from th eline

or set this parameter as splash=verbose, theme:sabayon

then run
Code: Select all
# grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
