Problemas para iniciar beryl con ATI Radeon 7000

Hola, tengo un problema para iniciar beryl, mi equipo tiene un Atholon XP 2000+, 512MB y dos tarjetas ATI Radeon 7000, una AGP y otra PCI, al instalar sabayon 3.2 no aparece ningún error, pero al término sólo inicio en modo consola, al teclear startx me da este mensaje:

He intentado también con sabayon xgl y Xorg -configure, X -configure, sin resultados (soy nuevo en eso de configurar la X).

¿Esto quiere decir que mi tarjeta (ATI Radeon 7000) no soporta beryl? ¿Cómo puedo iniciar con beryl? ¿O en su caso iniciar sin el (sólo con kde)?

yo tambien soy nuevo en el mundo de linux y acabo de bajar esta version SabayonLinux-x86-3.3 y me marca exactamente el mismo error ke ati y la verdad nose ke hacer y pues si tengo ganas de probar esta distro.

agradeceria mucho me pudieran ayudar.

Hola creo que podrían probar insertar el cd de sabayon y en vez de darle la opción de instalar opten por restaurar el sistema y si tienen la opción de cambiar a xgl prueben eso si es que tienen una placa de video ati.
